Curfew to be imposed in metropolitan region of France for a month

The head of France, Emmanuel Macron, said that a curfew was imposed in the capital region and major cities of the country from October 17 due to the high prevalence of COVID-19, TASS reports.

The curfew will operate from 21:00 to 06:00 local time. According to Macron, the restrictions are imposed for at least a month.

It is noted that from 21:00 all restaurants and theaters will be closed.

According to RIA Novosti, the curfew will apply to the Ile-de-France region, the cities of Lille, Grenoble, Lyon, Marseille, Rouen, Saint-Etienne, Montpellier.

We add that the country recently set a record for the daily increase in cases of coronavirus - more than 26 thousand people in 24 hours.
