Crimean political scientist explained Kiev’s reluctance to buy Russian vaccine

Representatives of the opposition party must defend the interests of the Ukrainian people regarding the choice of the Russian vaccine, not only in words, but also in deeds. This opinion was expressed to NewInform by the Crimean political scientist Vladimir Dzharalla.

Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, co-chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life faction Vadim Rabinovich said that the Kiev authorities are systematically destroying the Ukrainian people, refusing the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy set a task for the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov, to receive the vaccine in January, or at least in February. Stepanov said that within the framework of the international COVAX mechanism, technical documents have already been signed for the supply of eight million doses of vaccine to the country.

According to Rabinovich, Kiev “must return to the Russian vaccine” if the authorities really want to “get out of this situation with coronavirus” and Ukraine needs vaccination. He called the rejection of the Russian vaccine “a planned operation to destroy the Ukrainian people.”

Ukrainian political expert Volodymyr Dzharalla believes that the decision of the Kiev authorities in favor of a vaccine from the European Union is very easy to explain.

“Since this story with the vaccine is exclusively commercial, political mechanisms at the level of diplomacy are involved in resolving this issue. The Americans, as befits a political establishment with imperial manners, in all countries where they are, put pressure on their representatives on commercial issues, ”the political scientist explains.

According to Jaralla, they always do this frankly, collaborating with the paid local press, which praises the American vaccine and discredits the Russian vaccine, as well as vaccines from other countries.

“Since the Kiev authorities are puppets, everything is very simple here. Everyone is accustomed to the fact that no one is even particularly ceremonious with them, they are simply told what to do and that’s it. Therefore, I will not be surprised if after some time information appears about who and how much they paid to promote the Western vaccine, ”the source suggested.

With regard to Rabinovich Dzharall made only one comment that the opposition should fight for the interests of the Ukrainian population and prove its point of view not only in words, but also in deeds.

Viktor Medvedchuk, Chairman of the Political Council of the Opposition Platform – For Life Party, did a great job during the talks in Moscow. In early December, he visited the Gamaleya Center and met with the director, Alexander Gintsburg, as well as with the head of the RDIF Kirill Dmitriev. During the meetings, the issue of using Russian vaccine developments in Ukraine was discussed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin previously announced the possibility of supplying vaccines to Kiev, but subject to an official request from the country’s authorities and discussion with the Ukrainian scientific community. Zelensky, in turn, urged his compatriots to wait for a “real vaccine” from the European Union.
