The daily increase in cases of COVID-19 in Russia amounted to 5,449 cases in 84 regions, Interfax reports, citing data from the operational headquarters, published on Sunday.
The daily gain decreased slightly again. The day before in Russia there were 5,488 new cases, on September 11 - 5,504 cases, and this figure became the highest since the beginning of August. Until September 11, the growth increased for three days in a row: on September 10 there were 5,363 cases, on September 9 - 5,218, on September 8 - 5,099.
During the day, 94 patients died, 2,690 people recovered. Cumulatively, 1,062,811 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Russia, 18,578 deaths and 876,225 discharged cases. 168,008 patients continue treatment.
In Moscow on Sunday, 650 new cases of COVID-19 were registered per day. 14 people died, another 900 recovered. The average daily growth rate of new cases of coronavirus in the capital for two weeks is 0.25%. In total, 271,097 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Moscow since the beginning of the pandemic.
"In accordance with the Rospotrebnadzor criteria, an indicator of less than one indicates a stable epidemiological situation in the city," the operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the coronavirus situation in Moscow told the agency.
Over the past day, 650 new cases of infection were registered in the capital. According to the interlocutor of the agency, 38.5% of new cases are people aged 18 to 45 years, 19.6% - from 46 to 65 years old, 18.5% - from 66 to 79 years old, another 10.7% - over 80 years old, 12.7% of the sick are children.
Earlier, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova said that a total of 229,573 patients recovered in the capital, who were diagnosed with coronavirus infection.
Also, 206 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in St. Petersburg, 166 - in the Moscow region, 162 - in the Rostov region, 159 - in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 137 - in the Stavropol Territory, 131 - in the Sverdlovsk region, 128 - in the Ulyanovsk region, 111 - in the Samara region, 110 - in the Voronezh region, 105 - in the Saratov region, 103 - in the Krasnoyarsk region. In other regions of Russia, the daily increase does not exceed one hundred cases.
The prevalence of infection in Moscow on Sunday was 1.02. In Russia this figure is 1.05. The indicator determines the average number of people that one patient infects before isolation.
