Contract for gas supply to Armenia extended for first quarter of 2021

Gazprom Export and Gazprom Armenia have extended the contract for the supply of gas to Armenia only for the first quarter of 2021, RIA Novosti reported.

It is specified that negotiations on further supplies will continue.

To remind, in March, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan appealed to the head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller and proposed to start new negotiations on reducing the price of gas supplied to Armenia, as well as on transferring payments to the national currency. Later, Gazprom noted that it is keeping the issue in the sphere of its attention and that contacts will be at the government level.

Earlier it became known that Belarus agreed on favorable terms with the Russian Federation on the supply of oil and gas in 2021.
