Former UFC champion Conor McGregor was detained in Corsica on suspicion of demonstrative sexual behavior and sexual assault, reports France Presse citing the prosecutor's office.
The department clarified that the application for the athlete was filed with the police on September 10.
McGregor's spokesman told the portal TMZ that the athlete strongly denies all lewd behavior allegations. According to him, after interrogation, McGregor was released.
It is noted that the alleged incident happened in a bar.
Recall this summer the Irishman announced the end of his sports career. The 32-year-old athlete has won 22 victories in 26 fights in mixed martial arts.
