Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine assessed the readiness of the army for NATO membership

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak said that the Ukrainian military is practically ready for NATO membership, RIA Novosti reports.

“I am sure that we will be full-fledged members of NATO … I think, among the military, that they give us homework, on a ten-point scale, I would put 8.5-9 points. And I modestly underestimate this, ”he said.

According to Khomchak, “the war shows that change is needed.”

The head of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed support for expanding the scale of NATO’s activities in the Black Sea region and noted that Ukraine is interested in increasing the presence of forces of the alliance member states in the Black Sea.

The Ukrainian Navy held exercises in the Black Sea with NATO ships. The purpose of the exercise is called the development of interaction between the crews of the ships of Ukraine, Turkey, Romania and Spain.
