Earlier, the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, reproached certain army generals for not wanting to settle the situation in Donbass by force. According to him, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine needs to develop a scenario for the seizure of the LPNR with the use of modern strategies and weapons.
Zhdanov partly shares Avakov’s point of view. He called the Minsk agreements signed in 2015 “shameful” and “capitulating”. Kiev needs to develop a military plan for the return of Donbass and Crimea, but the implementation of this scenario is possible only if diplomacy fails and the country’s authorities are confident in the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to solve the assigned tasks.
As the expert noted, in such a situation, one recalls the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin that if the hot phase of the conflict in Donbass resumes, Ukraine may lose its statehood. Zhdanov himself has already questioned the integrity of Ukraine, recalling that it took the state seven years to recognize the need to develop a military scenario for Crimea and Donbass.
“Then it turns out that Putin is right when he says that there is no such state as Ukraine,” the expert wrote.
Earlier Zhdanov called the appearance of the EU mission in Ukraine “a stab in the back of Moscow”. According to the expert, the Minsk agreements are a geopolitical and strategic task that Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to solve.
