Indicators of herd immunity to coronavirus in the regions of Russia vary from 6% to 50%, TASS reports with reference to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.
At a meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, she said that for the study, experts considered the situation in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation with different peak incidence rates. At the first stage, almost 74,500 people were examined in 26 subjects. The range of the revealed herd immunity ranged from 6% to 50% in different regions.
By age, the maximum indicators of population immunity - up to 71% - were found in children of preschool and early school age.
In the social professional structure, the highest level of collective immunity was found among health and education workers - up to 50% and up to 42%, respectively.
Popova clarified that a wide range across regions depends on the degree of involvement in the epidemiological process in each of them.
