Citizens of Serbia supported changes in the constitution in a referendum – Vučić

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the citizens of the republic supported changes to the constitution in the field of justice at a referendum held on Sunday, betrays TASS.

“Based on 97.02% of the processed ballots, 60.48% of the citizens who voted voted in favor, and 39.52% voted against. In total, more than 1.8 million people voted, the advantage of those who voted “for” was more than 400 thousand people,” he said.

Vučić also added that the turnout in the referendum was about 30%.

The vote could be cast on Sunday at 8,029 polling stations throughout Serbia, except for Kosovo and Metohija. For citizens of the republic, polling stations were also organized in 10 representative offices abroad, including the country’s embassy in Moscow.
