Chinese Foreign Minister urged the United States to lift sanctions on Afghanistan

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on the United States and Western countries to lift the sanctions imposed on Afghanistan, TASS reports.

“China attaches great importance to the humanitarian difficulties that Afghanistan is currently facing and urges the United States and Western countries to lift sanctions,” he said.

According to the minister, all parties should contact the radical Taliban movement (banned in the Russian Federation) in a reasonable and pragmatic manner in order to help Afghanistan get on the path of favorable development.

Earlier it was reported that the Taliban approved the words of Vladimir Putin about the possible exclusion from the list of terrorists, since the group, according to its representatives, seeks positive relations with the international community.

It also became known that the EU plans to resume the work of the diplomatic mission in Kabul within a month. At the same time, Brussels urged not to regard these actions as a sign of recognition of the Taliban government.
