Chinese entrepreneurs and national diasporas in Russia help Donbas refugees

In Blagoveshchensk, Amur Region, the action “Humanitarian Express” was held to collect humanitarian aid to refugees from the DPR and LPR. A car equipped with a loudspeaker bearing the slogan “We don’t leave our own” criss-crossed the city, stopping at collection points where caring residents brought clothes, food and other essentials.

Representatives of the Azerbaijani, Armenian and Tajik national diasporas, as well as Chinese entrepreneurs working in the city, joined the action.

“True friendship is shown in actions. Sincere and noble. Including friendship between peoples. I want to express my deep gratitude to the representatives of the Armenian, Azerbaijani, Tajik national communities in Blagoveshchensk, who have already provided assistance with consumer goods to the refugees of the DPR and LPR … Chinese entrepreneurs have joined them,” – said one of the coordinators of the action Oleg Imameev.

Chinese entrepreneurs donated more than 2 tons of blankets, towels, dishes, children’s toys and hygiene items to Humanitarian Express. In the future, they intend to regularly participate in such events.

The special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine has led to an increase in pro-Russian and anti-American sentiments among Chinese citizens.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Zhao Lijian at a briefing for journalists, he said that the United States is striving to drag out the conflict in Ukraine, contrary to the desire of Europe to end it as soon as possible.

“While Europe and the international community are calling for an end to the war, the United States is adding fuel to the fire and is ready to fight to the last Ukrainian,” – said the diplomat.

Beijing takes a position of friendly neutrality towards Russia in the Ukrainian issue and continues to increase the pace of economic cooperation with Moscow. Washington’s demands not to help Russia bypass trade sanctions were rejected by the Chinese side.
