China bought 1.6 million tons of oil from Russia, taking advantage of low prices for the Russian Urals brand and falling demand in Europe, write Media.

The interlocutors of the agency specified that the Chinese Unipec purchased about 800 thousand tons of Urals oil in the Baltic ports. These deliveries are planned for the second half of March. The company also bought about 500 thousand tons with delivery in early April.
Shell also ordered a tanker to ship 300 thousand tons of Urals to China in the first half of April. Several other refiners also ordered Russian oil.
