Chicken Nuggets: A Special Recipe with Pecans and Honey Mustard Sauce

Chicken nuggets can be an original and interesting dish on your dinner table. Their secret is Japanese panko crackers and pecans. Healthy chicken nuggets completely baked in the oven. They are crispy and juicy as they are marinated in mustard sauce and topped with a nutty crispy pecan crust.

Recipe for chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce

Time: 35 minutes. Servings: 6


  • 1 kilogram of skinless chicken breasts;
  • salt;
  • freshly ground black pepper;
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves.

For sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise;
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt;
  • 1/4 cup honey;
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard;
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard.

For breading:

  • – 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs;
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic;
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated onion.


  1. Preheat the oven to 190 – 200 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  3. For sauce, combine mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, honey and mustard.
  4. To make Pecan Crisp, combine the nuts, panko, Italian seasoning, granulated garlic and onion in the bowl of a food processor. Grind the ingredients to the consistency of coarse crumbs.
  5. Cut the chicken meat into long strips. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Alternately dunk the chicken strips into the honey sauce, then into the pecan mixture until they are completely coated.
  7. Place the formed nuggets on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the chicken is completely cooked through.

Serve with a sprinkle of parsley and your favorite sauce.
