Rogozin called dependence on foreign software a threat to Russia’s national security. The head of Roscosmos announced a number of measures aimed at solving this problem.
Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin sees a threat to national security in Russia’s dependence on foreign software. He stated this at a meeting on import independence in the field of information and communication technologies.
In order to counter this threat, Rogozin announced the creation of the Association of the largest consumers of software and IT equipment. It will include Roskosmos, Rosatom, Rostelecom and Gazprom Neft.
The dependence on import supplies of software is one of the factors that negatively affect not only the information security of the state corporation Roscosmos, but also generally threatens the national security of Russia.
– Rogozin’s words are quoted on the Roscosmos website.
It also notes that a so-called roadmap will be developed to solve this problem. We are talking about a set of consistent actions and measures to achieve import independence in the field of information and communication technologies.
Recall that over the past few years, Western countries, and especially the United States, have been constantly introducing more and more new sanctions against Russia. Therefore, the issue of lack of dependence and stimulation of domestic production is more acute than ever.
