The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has updated the list of Russian media companies subject to sanctions. This is stated in the decree of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky No. 184 / 2020 from 14 of May, by which he put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions.
Among others, the sanctions list includes the Russian television company STS Media, the publishing house Komsomolskaya Pravda, and also 26 media companies located in Russia and the occupied Crimea.
Sanctions include a ban on the withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine, a ban on the use of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine, restrictions on the use of property and trade operations.
Access to some Russian and separatist resources in Ukraine is limited since May 2017 in accordance with the presidential decree then head of state Petro Poroshenko put into effect the NSDC decision on sanctions against Russian and Ukrainian individuals and companies.
