The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has established the official rates of the euro and the dollar for the New Year holidays.
From the data on the regulator’s website, it follows that the dollar rate remains at the same level – 73.8757 rubles.
The euro exchange rate rose by 11.08 kopecks – up to 90.7932 rubles.
The value of the dual currency basket (0.55 dollars and 0.45 euros) increased by five kopecks over the weekend, amounting to 81.4886 rubles.
Recall that in 2020 the dollar rose in price against the ruble by 20%, and the euro – by about 32%. The experts told what events led to the weakening of the national currency.
