Somali government spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu was injured in a suicide attack, Garowe Online reported on Twitter.
According to the source, the attack on the official car took place not far from the presidential palace. Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble strongly condemned the crime and wished the victim a speedy recovery.
Garowe Online also adds that militants from a radical group linked to al-Qaeda* claimed responsibility for the explosion.
