British boxer Umar Sadik was hospitalized in one of the Moscow clinics after being defeated by Russian Fedor Chudinov, TASS reports.
The agency's correspondents were informed about this by the athlete's team.
Recall that Chudinov knocked out the Briton in the fight for the WBA gold belt in the second middleweight title. The fight took place in Khimki near Moscow on September 11.
As previously reported, after the battle Sadik did not navigate in space, he needed an oxygen mask. The doctors provided the athlete with prompt medical assistance.
Later, the Briton became ill during the doping control. An ambulance was called for him.
The athlete's team noted that after the fight Sadik also began to “cough up blood”. He was hospitalized in one of the Moscow hospitals. At the same time, the agency's interlocutor did not specify the nature of the boxer's health problems.
Earlier it was reported that the fight between the former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and the former world champion in four weight divisions Roy Jones Jr. has been postponed to November.
