Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the new BRICS Development Bank has allocated $ 10 billion for projects to combat the pandemic and minimize its consequences, writes TASS.
According to him, at the beginning of October, BRICS approved a total of 64 projects for a total amount of over $ 20 billion. $ 4 billion has already been allocated for projects to combat the pandemic and minimize its consequences, and a total of $ 10 billion has been reserved for these purposes.
Ryabkov also added that it is planned to open the bank's Eurasian regional center in Moscow.
Earlier it became known that the XII summit with the participation of the leaders of the BRICS countries will be held on November 17. The meeting will take place via videoconference.
