Brent oil price exceeded $ 81 per barrel

The price of a North Sea Brent crude oil futures for delivery in March 2022 rose 1.31% to $ 81.05 per barrel, according to trading data on the London ICE exchange.

The last time the price of Brent exceeded $ 81 per barrel was on November 26, 2021. As of 17:00 Moscow time, quotes accelerated their growth to $ 81.14 per barrel, gaining 1.43%.

The average annual price of export Russian Urals oil in 2021 returned to the pre-pandemic level of $ 69 per barrel. In 2020, a barrel was priced at $ 41.73, the lowest for the first time since 2004.

OPEC + members previously announced that they did not intend to deviate from the plan for oil production in February. The alliance, within the framework of the agreements, is ready to increase production next month by 400 thousand barrels per day.

At the same time, the experts of the monitoring committee admitted that after the first quarter there may be a surplus on the black gold market. The base forecast for this indicator in 2022 will be 1.4 million barrels per day, writes FederalPress.
