Brazilian COVID-19 Cases Reach 7,619,200

7,619,200 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Brazil since the beginning of the pandemic, the Ministry of Health of the republic reports.

It is noted that during the day the number of infections increased by 55 639. The total number of deaths was 193 875. In total, 6.75 million people have recovered in the country.

Brazil has the third highest number of COVID-19 cases in the world. The first place is occupied by the United States, India is on the second line.

Earlier it was reported that Brazilian Vice President Antonio Hamilton Mourau was infected with the coronavirus. In the summer of COVID-19, the head of state, Jair Bolsonaro, fell ill.

On December 30, it became known that the Brazilian company Uniao Quimica, which has an agreement with the RDIF for the production of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, requested the right to conduct clinical trials of the drug from the National Agency for Sanitary Inspection.
