The second group of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada appealed to the Constitutional Court the law on the conditions for the circulation of agricultural land. Now there are more than a hundred parliamentarians who consider the law unconstitutional. This 14 on May
- 00 on May 2020 of the year the Constitutional Court of Ukraine received a constitutional submission 53 of people's deputies of Ukraine regarding compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine of the Law of Ukraine "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Conditions for the Turnover of Agricultural Land" from 31 March 2020 of the year, the message says.
The authors and signatories of the petition ask the court to recognize the challenged the law is not in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine.
Deputies refer to the fact that only the Ukrainian people are the owners of the territory of Ukraine and questions regarding land as an object of property of the people cannot be resolved without their will at the referendum.
In addition, the authors of the submission believe that the law was adopted in violation of the constitutional procedure. The final vote took place in : 31 March), that is, after the end of the day 15 March, which was determined by the time of the extraordinary plenary meeting. At the same time, during the review of edits in the hall there were less 226 deputies. Based on these facts, the deputies believe that the meeting was incomplete.
In connection with this, the authors of the submission request that the law “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the conditions for the circulation of agricultural land” No. 552 - IX unconstitutional.
The constitutional submission was signed mainly by deputies from the OWJ faction - Viktor Medvechuk, Yuri Boyko, Vadim Rabinovich, Nestor Shufrich, Ilya Kiva, Vasily Nimchenko, Natalya Korolevskaya, Sergey Levochkin, Julia Levochkina, Renat Kuzmin, Taras Kozak, Nikolay Skorik and others.
The text of the constitutional submission
Earlier 48, deputies led by Yulia Tymoshenko have already appealed to the Constitutional Court because of the land law. Thus, now 101 the deputy insists on the recognition of this law as unconstitutional.
In addition, Yulia Tymoshenko called during the discussion in parliament contrary to the Ukrainian Constitution and banking law. The leader of the "Fatherland" intends to appeal to the Constitutional Court and on its adoption, too.
As the Communist Party of Ukraine previously reported, the deputies asked the Constitutional Court to explain what “decent living conditions” are. In the group of 101 parliamentarians who signed the appeal, the majority represent the "Servant of the people" faction.
