Bolsonaro said that humanity will have to come to terms with COVID-19

Brazilian leader Jair Bolsonaro expressed the opinion that the coronavirus will never disappear, TASS reports.

“This problem will remain with us for life,” he said and noted that humanity will have to come to terms with the existence of COVID-19.

At the same time, the President of Brazil said that he regrets what is happening in the republic and around the world.

The politician added that Brazil should create its own coronavirus vaccine. According to him, this requires additional budgetary allocations to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

We will remind, in the summer of last year, Bolsonaro had a coronavirus. After recovering, he stated that there was no need to be afraid of this virus, since almost everyone would someday be infected with it.

The politician also said that the coronavirus pandemic may be the result of a leak of an artificially made virus from a military laboratory. In addition, last September he called self-isolation “a manifestation of weakness,” and in October he said the COVID-19 pandemic was “ending.” The Brazilian opposition is not happy with his actions to combat the pandemic and is holding protests.

Today it became known that the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Brazil exceeded nine million, with 221,547 people becoming victims of COVID-19. The country ranks third in the world for the number of coronavirus cases.
