United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will travel to Brussels again next week to meet with NATO officials amid allegations of Russia’s military buildup, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.
The agency does not specify the date of the planned visit, but emphasizes that the meetings of the Secretary of State will be held for almost the entire week.
At the same time, the head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin will also be in Brussels, who, as previously reported, will hold talks with the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg.
Recall that Blinken already visited Brussels on March 23 and 24. Then the foreign ministers of the NATO countries discussed, within the framework of a face-to-face meeting, preparations for the alliance summit, relations with Russia and China, as well as a new strategic concept.
We will remind that earlier the head of the White House Joe Biden asked the US Congress next year to allocate $ 715 billion to the Pentagon to contain the “threat” emanating, according to Washington, from the Russian Federation and China.
