In an interview with CNN, Blinken said that the United States is ready to retaliate if the Russian authorities “continue to carry out thoughtless and aggressive” acts.

At the same time, the onion of the US Foreign Ministry stressed that Washington is counting on “stable and predictable relations” with Moscow.

According to Blinken, the opportunity to “talk to the face” will be beneficial in two cases: if the United States has to respond to the continuation of such activity by Russia, and if Washington needs to decide on further actions after Russia chooses “a more predictable and stable course.

The US Secretary of State did not answer the question of whether the US administration has confirmation of Russia’s participation in the summit. He added that a similar issue is currently being discussed.

United States President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin opened a telephone conversation on April 13. According to the present White House, Biden put forward the idea of ​​holding the summit “in a third party in the coming months.” Subsequently, the onion of the American administration explained that he had invited Putin to meet in Europe in the summer.

As if noted on Monday by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, the meeting between Putin and Biden scheduled for summer months, however, the exact date and end of the event have not yet been determined.
