Biden arrives in Rome to attend G20 face-to-face summit

President of the United States Joe Biden arrived in Rome to attend the in-person G20 summit, RT reports.

On Friday morning, the American leader’s plane landed at the airport in the Italian capital.

The head of the White House and his wife Jill Biden had a short conversation with the officials who met them, after which the presidential couple got into the motorcade and left the airport.

It is known that Biden is scheduled to have a private audience with Pope Francis on Friday, after which he will also hold meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.

Earlier, US Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan said that on the sidelines of the summit in Rome, the leaders of the United States, Germany, France and Great Britain also intend to hold a meeting dedicated to the resumption of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear deal.
