US President Joe Biden announced the nomination of the incumbent chairman of the US Federal Reserve Jerome Powell for a second term in this post, TASS reports.

As noted by RIA Novosti, the dollar is growing rapidly amid news that Powell may remain in his place.

Earlier it became known that Biden and representatives of his inner circle in recent days have announced the plans of the American leader to run for a second term. It is clarified that by the time of the vote in 2024, the current American leader will be 81 years old. Currently, according to polls, only about 40% of American citizens approve of his work.
