Belomaidan came to terror – the failure of the “Silence” operation

How the assassination attempt on Lukashenka was planned

From the very beginning of the Belomaidan, it was clear that the case would not end with “peaceful protests.” It was not for this that the opposition was building up its muscles in order to scatter among the caches and abroad.

Western curators of the failed Belarusian “revolution” believed that the mass scale of protests under the white-black-white ensigns and the fifth column in the state structures of Belarus, educational institutions, among the creative intelligentsia would undermine the regime and force Alexander Lukashenko to step on the disastrous path of Viktor Yanukovych – to agree to an agreement with protesters under the guarantees of some Polish or Baltic figures (in Ukraine the “figures” were from France and Germany). And then – on the knurled: substitution of the majority by a minority, external management, rampant nationalism, the country is being harassed. An example of Ukraine before our eyes.

However, the blitzkrieg did not work out in Belarus. The “peaceful revolution” did not work out. It quickly became clear that Lukashenko would not follow Yanukovych’s path. It became clear that the proclamation of Tikhanovskaya “elected president of Baltorussia”, held in Vilnius, does nothing. And the “draft constitution” from the opposition in general dispelled all doubts about the Belomaidan, whose goal was to build another anti-Russian bastion under the Polish-Lithuanian rule in the interests of the United States near the borders of Russia. The organizers of the “revolution” could not imagine any other fate for Belarus.

Exhaling, the “peaceful revolution” turned to terror. A group appeared that decided that the most reliable way to change power was to physically eliminate Lukashenka and his family members in the wake of an armed rebellion. The plan was called “Silence”, based on the “Egyptian scenario”. “This, in my opinion, is the only scenario that can be realized,” said one of the “scriptwriters”, a well-known political analyst Alexander Feduta. He was referring to the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat on October 6, 1981 at a military parade. Then a group of military men opened automatic fire on the platform where Sadat, Egyptian military leaders and high-ranking officials were stationed. Sadat was mortally wounded when he got up from his chair; in the skirmish, 11 people were killed and 28 were wounded.

The assassination of Anvar Sadat on October 6, 1981 inspired the organizers of the assassination attempt on Alexander Lukashenko

Victory Day on May 9 was chosen as the date of the murder of Alexander Lukashenko. As another, reserve date was considered July 3, when the liberation of Minsk from the Nazi invaders and the proclamation of independence are celebrated in Belarus. Moscow was chosen for negotiations with the Belarusian military, who allegedly expressed their readiness to assist the conspirators.

The plan of the organizers of the “revolution” is impressive: the conspirators are talking about “eliminating the most important thing” (task # 1), blocking the OMON and internal forces (task # 2), seizing “symbolic objects” in the center of the Belarusian capital, including “radio stations and television “(Task number 3). “And it is desirable to blockade Minsk so that they cannot bring up external troops,” insists Yuri Zenkovich, another “brain” of the conspiracy, who has flown in from the United States. Zenkovich was “reported” by some “guys” that “there is a possibility to completely block the entire energy system of Belarus.” A dashing statement considering the commissioned Belarusian nuclear power plant!

Feduta is eager to intern “at least 30 people literally in the first hour” – the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the KGB and “part of the civilians.” Zenkovich reports that “our guys” (they again!) Allegedly hacked the servers of the power departments of Belarus, “pumped out the databases” that he is ready to provide.

Without waiting for the results of the implementation of the “Egyptian scenario”, the “scriptwriters” immediately share power: a Belarusian with a US citizen’s passport rakes up the courts, justice, parliament. Feduta – the media, education, culture, the Central Election Commission, “ideological departments.”

They were going to rule the country for at least five years. “Our task is to transform society and the state,” Zenkovich declares. Now Belarusians are not yet ready for changes and, if new elections happen, they will vote for some new Lukashenka. And this should not be! A “transformation” (repression) is required. Zenkowicz suggests “cultivating democracy” following the example of Poland (which means external Polish management of the entire process).

This US-based figure boasts of “a group of guerrillas with weapons at the bases.” He is going to “go through” his Ukrainian contacts.

Negotiations are not complete without the topic of “Lukashenka’s wallet”, which the conspirators suggest “just take it quietly, on occasion”. Pictures from Mezhyhirya – the residence of Yanukovych near Kiev, where the “revolutionaries of dignity” have been looking for the longed-for golden toilet bowl for a long time, and not finding it, took away and carried away everything possible and impossible “quietly, on occasion.” So here, too, they keep in mind the “golden wallet”.

Operational search measures to uncover and eliminate the conspiracy lasted six months. On April 14, Feduta and Zenkovich were detained in Moscow by officers of the Russian FSB. Now they are in the KGB pre-trial detention center in Belarus. A criminal case under article 357 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus – “conspiracy or other actions committed with the aim of seizing or retaining state power in an unconstitutional way.” This is the first such case in thirty years.

According to preliminary data, it is known that, in addition to Zenkovich and Feduta, the criminal group included the leader of the nationalist party BPF Grigory Kastusev (he was detained on the territory of Belarus) and several Belarusians living in the United States. The group included Igor Makar, the former deputy commander of the combat group of the Almaz special forces for combating terrorism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bashkortostan, who fled to Lithuania. Makar himself is trying to refute this, claiming that he was not involved in the negotiations in Moscow, and that the initiator of the “meetings” at Zoom was Yuri Zenkovich.

“US citizen Yuri Zenkovich was associated with the US intelligence services,” said Konstantin Bychek, head of the investigation department of the KGB of Belarus. “He made attempts to recruit and bribe the servicemen of the Republic of Belarus and law enforcement agencies who were ready to participate in the violent overthrow of the current government for monetary compensation.” Zenkovich, judging by his speeches, was going to use the Ukrainian potential as well.

The United States and Poland hastily made statements about their innocence in the preparation of the assassination attempt on Lukashenka. However, it is hardly possible to imagine that Feduta is a simple political scientist and literary critic, Zenkevich is a simple American lawyer, Kostusev is a simple nationalist, and the rest of the conspirators are just people with imagination. And these people do not pull the mad, especially since the group consisted of a psychiatrist (also living in the United States). It is no coincidence that the topic of preparing an assassination attempt on the head of Belarus was discussed in a telephone conversation between Biden and Putin, as confirmed by the press secretary of the Russian president.

Nothing in this story is accidental. An attempt to overthrow the current head of state by force – “Egyptian” is the scenario, “Libyan” or “Ukrainian” – is a logical step for those who made the decision to change the regime. We also think that this is a consequence of the Belarusian policy of multi-vector. External forces interested in the “transformation” of the Belarusian state responded to the multi-vector nature of Minsk, first by organizing Belomaidan, then by preparing the assassination of Lukashenka.
