Beijing authorities have introduced a mandatory requirement to pass two tests for coronavirus at the entrance to the city, TASS reports.
According to the local Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the requirement will be in effect for at least two months, starting on January 22. The Jera is expected to allow for “proactively addressing epidemiological risks.”
The statement notes that the first test must be taken 48 hours before arrival in Beijing from other regions of China, and the second – within 72 hours after entering the city.
Earlier in Beijing, the first case of infection with the omicron strain of COVID-19 was recorded.
