Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin jokingly commented on his inclusion in the EU sanctions list, reports TASS.
“We recorded it for the eighth time on a restricted basis, how much can you endure? It is good that cooperation with Interpol continues, contacts are maintained with colleagues from other countries. But it’s a little offensive for the state, ”said the head of the TFR.
We will remind, on March 2, the European Union announced the introduction of sanctions against four Russian citizens due to the situation with blogger Alexei Navalny. In addition to Bastrykin, this list included the director of the Rosgvardia Viktor Zolotov, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov and the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service, Alexander Kalashnikov. Following the EU, restrictive measures were introduced by the United States.
The official representative of the Russian diplomatic service, Maria Zakharova, said that the West was thus trying to divert attention from its internal problems. Meanwhile, the Kremlin called the new anti-Russian sanctions interference in the country’s internal affairs.
