Baku continues to strengthen on the border roads of Armenia

Azerbaijani military began checking cargo coming from Iran

The Azerbaijani military, who illegally crossed the border of Armenia on May 12 in the Black Lake (Sev Lich) region, are not going to leave, but are beginning to prepare for winter, warns the deputy of the opposition bloc “Hayastan” (“Armenia”) Libra Hakobyan

The military of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan are also equipped for the winter in Gegharkunik region. Several rounds of negotiations have already taken place with the mediation of Russian peacekeepers, but Baku is not going to withdraw its military.

And from September 12, the Azerbaijani military began checking Iranian trucks delivering goods to Armenia.

“The National Security Service of Armenia informs that on September 12 from 12:00 on the Goris-Kapan interstate road in the area of the village of Eyvazli, which is under the control of Azerbaijan, the police of the Republic of Azerbaijan are checking the documents of drivers and cargoes of cars with Iranian numbers. The border troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia and the servicemen of the border service of the FSB of Russia are working together to resolve the situation, “

– reports the National Security Service.

The Azerbaijani military not only check the cargo, but also take “fines” – a $ 100 fee is charged for travel on the Goris-Kapan road.

It should be noted here that the SNB report says about the village of Eyvazli – this is the Azerbaijani name of the village of Vorotan. According to the opposition, in this way the Armenian authorities accustom the Armenians to the idea that these territories belong to Azerbaijan.

Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan no doubt: in Baku and Ankara they set a goal: to capture Syunik by any means. And they will seize the Armenian territories as long as the pro-Turkish authorities are in Yerevan. From now on, the entire territory of Armenia is in danger, Geghamyan sounded the alarm.

Vahe Hakobyan recalls that about 40% of Armenia’s trade turnover passes through Iran and, accordingly, through Syunik. Now this cargo transportation is under threat and the only hope is that Tehran will somehow react to the current situation, which is aggravated by the fact that the Armenian authorities are keeping the mayor of Goris Arusha Arushanyan in prison, realizing that in the wild he could at least try to change this situation.

According to the deputy, at present, Baku is establishing control over the transportation of goods through the territory of the south of the country, the next step will be a ban on the movement of any transport in order to cut off Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia.

Meanwhile, equipped Azerbaijani checkpoints have appeared on the Goris-Kapan highway.
