All integration processes, such as the EurAsEC and the CSTO, do not work very well. This opinion was expressed by political scientist and expert on the problems of the Middle East and Central Asia, Semyon Bagdasarov.
“It cannot be said that we have an ally who is part of one and the second organization, but this does not prevent him from freezing the money of our bank branches on his territory. (…) We need to create an alliance,” said the expert.
Bagdasarov began to list which countries could be included in the union, and talked about what problems might arise. The political scientist took Belarus as an example.
“Situation [в Белоруссии] such that the leadership of the country, realizing the danger that comes, will go for close integration, because only Moscow can transfer defense and foreign policy to one center, ”the specialist noted.
Bagdasarov also called Armenia a possible ally, but she has no way out to create a collective state with Russia. At the same time, he stressed that against the background of opposition protests in Armenia, a woman ambassador from the United States spoke, who said that the most outstanding democratic transformations in the country were in 2018, when Nikol Pashinyan came to power.
“In order to enter Armenia, you must first take off your “rose-colored glasses” and throw them away, and not talk nonsense on the verge of betrayal that these figures are oriented towards Russia. We are interested in having a pro-Russian government in Armenia, because it is necessary to have bases and protect the borders,” the expert concluded.
Earlier, SM-News reported that the governor of the Tyumen region Alexander Moor met with the delegation of Armenia, they discussed issues of cooperation.
