Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of 10.9 billion rubles to the regions so that they provide citizens with free medicines for coronavirus. This was reported on the government website.
It is noted that thanks to additional funds, it will be possible to provide 1.8 million Russians with medicines.
“We are talking about patients who receive medical care on an outpatient basis, that is, are treated at home under the supervision of doctors,” added government officials.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to purchase expensive drugs from the federal budget and send them to the regions for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 in a hospital setting. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers is obliged to ensure daily monitoring of the availability of medicines, including medical oxygen, to provide assistance to those infected with the coronavirus.
