Australia intends to ease travel restrictions in December

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that from the beginning of December foreign visa holders will be allowed to enter the country, Interfax reports.

According to him, it is planned to allow the arrival of vaccinated students, business visa holders and refugees.

“The return of skilled workers and students to Australia is an important milestone in our journey back to pre-dock times,” said Morrison.

Morrison previously said that the country’s borders will remain closed until December 2022.

Australian authorities closed the state’s borders on March 24, 2020 in connection with the pandemic. Citizens of the country are allowed entry, but must withstand a two-week quarantine.
