AstraZeneca is two months behind vaccine production schedule

Disruptions in the supply of vaccine against COVID-19 to the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca are associated with a backlog of production schedules, reports TASS.

The head of the company, Pascal Sorio, announced this during a conversation with reporters.

According to him, problems arose at the level of production of the main component of the vaccine, which is produced at factories in the Netherlands and Belgium.

“We believe that we have found a solution to these problems, but we are still two months behind the schedule,” said the head of the company.

At the same time, he stressed that in February AstraZeneca will be able to supply “a reasonable amount of vaccine” to the EU countries.

Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed the opinion that there is a real war in the world for vaccines against coronavirus.
