The press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry said that the Azerbaijani armed forces on Wednesday, November 17 opened fire on some sections of the border in the Tavush region, TASS reports.
According to the Armenian side, late in the evening, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened indiscriminate fire in some areas of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The fire was suppressed by retaliatory actions.
It is noted that on November 18 the situation on the border is relatively stable. The search also continues for the military, who disappeared as a result of military clashes in the Syunik region of the country.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Armenia offers Azerbaijan to conclude a peace treaty. This should be preceded by work to agree on the text of this document.
It should be reminded that the situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan escalated on November 16. On the same day, Vladimir Putin and Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation. Also, negotiations were held between the heads of the RF and Armenian Defense Ministries. After that, Armenia and Azerbaijan ceased fire at the border. During the clash, ten Azerbaijani soldiers were injured, and seven more were killed.
