Armenian authorities open criminal case after fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh

A criminal case has been opened in Armenia under the article "International terrorism" after receiving information about the participation of foreigners in hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, the press service of the country's Prosecutor General's Office reported.

According to the source, the militants wore the uniform of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and took part in an operation that resulted in the deaths of civilians and soldiers.

It is noted that the relevant states are involved in the investigation process within the framework of international legal acts.

The fighting on the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh has been going on since the end of September. Baku and Yerevan accuse each other of unleashing hostilities. The number of civilians killed in the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic since the beginning of the escalation of the conflict has increased to 31.
