The press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan on his Facebook denied Azerbaijan's report that an Armenian Su-25 was shot down on the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh.
She said that this was "another disinformation." The downed plane was reported in Baku on the morning of 17 October. According to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, the plane tried to strike positions in the Jebrail region and was destroyed by air defense units.
Earlier today, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry announced the shelling of settlements on the contact line in Karabakh, as well as about 12 people killed in the shelling of Ganja.
The aggravation of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh occurred at the end of September. The parties accuse each other of provocations. After a meeting in Moscow, Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed on a ceasefire in the region from October 10. The shelling did not stop.
