Armenia awards Russian specialists for support in the fight against COVID-19

The Minister of Defense of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan awarded the specialists of radiation, chemical and biological protection (RHBZ) of the Russian Ministry of Defense with departmental medals for their help in the fight against the pandemic. This was reported by the press service of the military department.

It is noted that the medals were awarded to the specialists of the 48th Scientific Research Center of the RHBZ of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation “for high professionalism, conscientious service and merits in the field of military medical cooperation during anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.”

Military specialists from the Russian Federation have provided assistance to Armenia in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 since April 2020. The awards were presented to the Russians at a farewell ceremony on the occasion of the completion of their mission, which lasted almost a year, the press service of the military department specified.

Earlier it was reported that the head of the Armenian government Nikol Pashinyan would arrive in Moscow on April 7 to meet with the head of the Russian state. Before the visit, the Armenian prime minister went into self-isolation. He works as planned, but excluded personal meetings and participation in public events.
