The chairman of the referee committee of the Russian Football Alliance, Ashot Khachaturyants, reported on the removal of football mediator Mikhail Vilkov from work at matches. The judge lost his job for life.
Mikhail Vilkov worked hard at the RPL round 26 match between Lokomotiv and Rostov. “A tough decision was met in the relationship between Mikhail Vilkov. I think he should not referee football matches, and this is my decision, ”Ashot Khachaturyants reported.
According to the head of the RFU referee committee, referees need to be as attentive as possible during matches. “The other referees, taken away from the matches in the first part of the Russian championship, had questions concerning their professionalism. Mikhail Vilkov is a highly qualified referee, therefore such slips of the tongue cause widespread resonance in society, ”added Ashot Khachaturyants.
There is pressure on the judges, but they “are the judges to cope with it.” Ashot Khachaturyants is not going to meet with Mikhail Vilkov for the time being, noting that he has nothing to talk with the judge about.
Mikhail Vilkov made controversial decisions during the match between Lokomotiv and Rostov. The match ended with the victory of the “railroad workers” with a score of 4: 1, during which time the referee did not expel the midfielder of “Rostov” Kento Hashimoto, showed the debatable yellow card to Armin Gigovich, because of which he was expelled from the field. Vilkov also ordered an 11-meter kick after the fall of Krykhovyak in the penalty area of ”Rostov”.
