Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has appointed Anton Shalaev as head of Rosstandart, the Russian Government reports.
The decree on this appointment has already been signed.
Previously, Shalaev was deputy head of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart). Since 2016, he oversaw the implementation of state policy in the field of standardization, the organization of maintaining a single register of registered voluntary certification systems and others.
Prior to that, Rosstandart was headed by Alexey Abramov, who started this work in 2014.
By another order of the Cabinet of Ministers, he was relieved of his post of his own free will.
Earlier it was reported that Abramov, who was on vacation, had submitted a letter of resignation.
