The performances with the participation of the singer were postponed to December.
In 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many stars were forced to radically change their plans. Representatives of the domestic show business not only canceled their holidays at foreign resorts, but were also deprived of the opportunity to work for a long time. So, 48-year-old Anna Netrebko only recently was able to resume performances
However, a few days ago it became known that one of the performances with Netrebko's participation at the Bolshoi Theater was canceled. And last Friday, a number of media outlets disseminated information that the production of Eugene Onegin, in which Netrebko was supposed to perform the part of Tatyana, was postponed from September to December. Immediately there were suggestions that the leadership of the Mariinsky Theater, in which the opera was going to perform on 18 September, had made adjustments to its schedule due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the country.
Anna Netrebko announced that she is leaving for self-isolation
I must say that Anna Netrebko ultimately decided to suppress all speculation and personally explained the situation in her microblog on Instagram. The opera singer confirmed that the transfer of the performance at the Mariinsky Theater is indeed linked to the coronavirus, but she herself is not infected. It turned out that COVID-19 was found with Anna's partner in the opera Don Carlos Ildar Abdrazakov, with whom the diva performed on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. Now Anna has to spend a week in self-isolation.
“Dear Petersburgers! In connection with the latest events related to COVID-19 and the cancellation of the Bolshoi performance (thank God, all my tests are negative), but I am retiring for a week of self-isolation in order to be sure of my complete safety for others! That is why my dream is that Tatiana at the Mariinsky Theater in a historical production and with the best cast in the world will see you in December! Let's all be healthy! ”- wrote Anna Netrebko (spelling and punctuation of the author hereinafter are given without changes. - Prim. line.). It is worth noting that it is not yet known whether Anna Netrebko's husband passed the coronavirus test.
Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov
Recall that the 48-year-old artist is married to 42-year-old opera singer Yusif Eyvazov. Their acquaintance took place in February 2014 in Rome, where the artists were involved in Giacomo Puccini's opera Manon Lescaut. It is noteworthy that the future spouses played lovers in the production. Soon, the stage romance grew into a real relationship, and Yusif proposed to Anna. The artists officially registered their relationship in 2015.
Netrebko and Eyvazov made sure that their wedding was luxurious. The celebration took place at the Coburg Palace in Vienna, where the newlyweds invited many representatives of Russian show business. Among the star guests of the opera singers one could meet Igor Krutoy, Andrey Malakhov and Philip Kirkorov. By the way, the pop king of the Russian stage was even present at the wedding of Anna and Yusif as a witness.
Note that in December Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. Last year, the couple had to celebrate a significant date in the United States, as Yusif was involved in the production of The Queen of Spades at the Metropolitan Opera. As a result, Netrebko had to fly to New York to spend the anniversary with Eyvazov. By the way, then the couple went to one of the oldest restaurants in New York, Hoffman House, which was built at the end of the 17th century.
