Alexander Tsybulsky leads the elections for the head of the Arkhangelsk region

Acting Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky is leading the election of the head of the region after processing 100% of the protocols, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the election commission, Tsybulsky is gaining 69.65% of the vote. Followed by Irina Chirkova from "Fair Russia" with 16.91% of the vote and LDPR representative Sergei Pivkov with 6.75% of the vote.

Three other candidates scored less than 3% each.

The turnout in the elections was 36.6%.

Recall that the last election of the governor of the Arkhangelsk region in 2015 was won by Igor Orlov. On April 2 of this year, he resigned, after which Tsybulsky was appointed acting head of the region.
