Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has appointed Alexander Trembitsky, who previously served as deputy head of the department, as the new head of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor). This was reported by the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Alexey Aleshin, in turn, was dismissed from the post of head of Rostekhnadzor. He has occupied it since 2014.
Trembitsky was the deputy head of the department for over eight years. Prior to that, he headed the North Caucasus Department of the Service and the Department for Emergency Situations and State Environmental Control of the Krasnodar Territory Administration.
