The loading of property has begun at the Czech Embassy in Moscow, 20 diplomats are to leave the Russian Federation by Monday evening, RIA Novosti reports.
It is clarified that a minibus drove up to one of the buildings, and employees are carrying boxes around the embassy.
In turn, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that the foreign ministers of 27 EU countries will consider the situation with the expulsion of Russian diplomats from the Czech Republic by videoconference, TASS reports.
He also stressed that relations between the EU and Russia are not improving, and tensions are growing in various formats.
Recall that on Saturday, the acting head of the Czech Foreign Ministry Jan Hamacek made a decision to expel Russian diplomats from Prague, who allegedly could be involved in an explosion at an ammunition depot in 2014.
In response, Russia declared 20 employees of the Czech Embassy persona non grata.
The international committee of the Federation Council also said that the Czech Republic, in addition to the measures taken on diplomats, should receive a tangible sanction response.
