The general director of the Center for Political Information, Alexei Mukhin, announced that the deceased head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Yevgeny Zinichev was considered by experts as one of the possible successors of President Vladimir Putin.
The tragic death of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Yevgeny Zinichev, according to experts, may affect the reshuffle at the top. As it turned out, Zinichev, who at one time was one of the close associates of Russian President Vladimir Putin (Putin’s “personal”, that is, he was part of his personal security), was perceived by the expert community as one of the possible successors to the head of state.
According to the general director of the Center for Political Information Alexei Mukhin, “Zinichev was one of the most promising politicians.” The political scientist notes that “the features of his career made it possible to believe that he would become a member of the country’s top leadership.”
In an interview with URA.RU, Mukhin, referring to “expert circles”, specified that the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry was even “considered as one of the possible successors to the president.”
