The interim head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Chuprin, canceled the order of the previous head of the department, Yevgeny Zinichev, to liquidate the Centrospas detachment. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in the detachment.
According to him, Chuprin canceled Zinichev’s decision to liquidate the Centrospas detachment by signing a corresponding order.
According to REN TV, in the near future the dismissed employees of Centrospas will meet with Chupriyanov, as well as with his deputies Viktor Yatsutsenko and Andrei Gurovich.
TASS writes that the order to liquidate Tsentrospas was issued on July 29 this year. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told the agency that the detachment was planned to be reorganized into the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Central Airmobile Rescue Unit of the EMERCOM of Russia”. It was supposed to include the FSBI “Southern Equestrian and Cynological Rescue Center of the EMERCOM of Russia” as the legal successor. It was assumed that he would inherit the legal obligations, debts and property of “Centrospas”.
The press service of the department noted that all employees of the detachment will retain their positions. However, many of them were fired, and some other employees wrote letters of resignation of their own free will, which indicated their disagreement with the changes. It was planned that the elimination of the detachment would be completed by the beginning of 2022.
On September 10, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General of the Internal Service, Alexander Chupriyan, was appointed interim acting minister. The corresponding order was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
