When the TV tower is located close to TV, it is enough to connect a passive antenna to the TV. It is so simple and cheap to make that it makes no sense to buy it.
- coaxial cable RG-6;
- F-connector for cable - 3 pcs .;
- TV plug;
- antenna splitter for 2 outputs.
Manufacturing process of passive antenna for digital TV
A piece with a length of 50 cm is cut off from the coaxial cable. At one end, the outer insulation is cut off 10-15 mm from the edge, but so as not to break the inner braid. The latter must be wrapped towards the second edge, then the remaining insulation layer must be removed to expose the central core. An F-connector is installed on the prepared edge.
In the center of the cable, the outer insulation must be stripped 20 mm wide. On the bare area, the braid is cut off. Then this place will need to be insulated to prevent further cable fracture when bent.
The other end of the wire is also stripped for 10-15 mm of the edge. Its braid is turned inside out and the vein is exposed. Next, you need to tuck the core in the direction of the braid in order to close them together. Then a second F-connector is installed on this edge.
The end of the cable with the protruding central core is twisted into a separate splitter input. Its second closed edge is screwed onto one of two outputs.
A long cable is connected to the third output on the splitter, which goes to the TV.
Before this, an F-connector and a plug are installed on the wire. If the antenna does not work, you will need to swap the closed end of the loopback cable with the wire going to the TV. After that, the picture on the screen will be clear and high-contrast.
