A side complication of the fight against covid

A side complication of the fight against covid

The lungs of many people are clogged with plastic microparticles – British surgeons came to this conclusion. Western Standard writes that they found these particles in the lower part of the lungs in 11 out of 13 patients.

These are the same plastics that are used in the production of surgical masks, hundreds of millions of people around the world have been forced to wear them. Some already after half an hour of wearing such a mask felt discomfort in the throat and perspiration, taking them as the first signs of covid infection. Surgical masks can be made from polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyethylene, and polystyrene, which are made from thermoplastic polymers.

In March, microplastics were first found in the blood, which means that the particles are able to penetrate into all parts of the human body and settle in the organs. While there is no exact data on the extent to which human health may suffer from this, it is clear that plastic in the blood will not bring anything good.

The first laboratory studies have shown that microplastics can damage human cells and lead to premature death. Doctors admitted that they did not expect to find such large particles of microplastics in the lower parts of the lungs, and even in such quantities. It was believed that they should linger in the respiratory tract and not penetrate so deeply.

Back in 2020, scientists warned that wearing a protective mask could lead to the inhalation of microplastics, surgical and cloth masks were called the most dangerous. Canadian respirator expert Chris Schaefer claims that surgical masks reduce inhaled oxygen levels and lead to an increase in the person’s absorption of carbon dioxide, which threatens health.

Schaefer says that if you feel irritation in your throat while wearing a mask, then this means that you are inhaling synthetic fibers. “We are well aware that masked people inhale fibers, which can cause inflammation in the lungs or a general inflammatory process throughout the body,” the scientist warns. “The synthetic fibers that are between the layers of the mask break down into very small particles and cause a toxic overload of the whole body, I think in a few years we will learn about the consequences of this.”
