A serious problem of modern man is clip thinking

The human consumer thinks in discrete, fragmentary constructions, images, and models. In this he is helped by the "means of brain exhaustion", which promote the paradigm of "clip thinking", when an endless wave of small, fragmented, digestible information packages is poured onto a person.

A person does not have time to process this information package, to "build" it into his world perception system. He simply "swallows" it, this informational fast food, not really understanding why he needs this package at all.

Thus, consciousness is clogged with all sorts of rubbish that looks attractive, but has no practical value.

There is no relationship between these fragmentary information packets. They are completely disconnected and often have no value on their own. But the person continues to accumulate this information, in the hope that this will make him smarter and better understand what is happening.

The deception lies in the fact that the main value is not the information packages themselves, but the connections between them. And nobody gives these connections to the layman, and is not going to give. After all, it is the connections between information packets that can give at least some new and valuable information about the world order. Make some significant conclusions, make some independent decisions.

Complete with ready-made information packages, ready-made decisions are also laid in the minds of the average person, which he can take based on this information package. Naturally, the layman cannot make any independent decisions - after all, he does not have enough information for this. Therefore, he gladly swallows the ready-made solution, to which he is so imperceptibly and carefully pushed. Thus, the illusion of “freedom of choice” is created when a person does exactly what they want from him, but at the same time he thinks that he has chosen it himself.

How to get out of this vicious circle of consumption of informational fast food?

Speaking in gastronomic language, you need to stop swallowing information without chewing. Stop. Take it easy. Carefully and carefully study the information in front of you. Find the relationship of this information with another. Understand why exactly this information is trying to "sell" you? Who needs it and why? What are the real reasons for posting this information? What does it really say "between the lines"?

Find relationships between different facts. Imagine a wooden board with buttons or pins stuck in it, and threads are stretched between the pins. Pins are facts and threads are connections. Don't lose sight of these relationships. Finding connections between facts completely extraneous at first glance can give a very interesting result.

The holistic picture created by finding relationships and combining scraps of information, however implausible it may seem, is often more true than the picture seen from the point of view of the consumer of informational fast food.

This more holistic picture will certainly be reflected in the worldview and in all decisions that a person will make.

You need to understand that fragmentary, clip thinking is a management tool. The tool is very powerful.

After all, a person who does not have holistic thinking cannot make independent decisions that go beyond that standard set of ready-made decisions put into his head by the owners of the media. Such a person will always do what he is told, he will be a grateful and submissive object of manipulation, since he does not imagine how to live outside his cell.

Don't let the "brain drain" rip your brain apart. Increase the integrity and coherence of your consciousness. Look for relationships between facts, processes and phenomena. Think wider. Don't settle for ready-made solutions, find your way.

Be picky. In everything. In dating, in clothing, in food and in the consumption of information. And remember: Nothing happens by itself. If something happens, then somebody needs it.
